This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect on the Sidhartha Kala Namak Rice website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we only ask for what we need to take your order, accept your payment, deliver your rice, and help you if you have a question. For payments we use Razorpay, and for shipping we use Shiprocket — both trusted partners explained below.

Information we collect

When you place an order, pay, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Your name — so we know who the order is for.
  • Phone number — to confirm and coordinate your order over WhatsApp or a call.
  • Delivery address — the address lines you type for shipping.
  • Optional location — if you choose to share your live location to help us pinpoint delivery.
  • Order details — the bundle, quantity, and total of the items you select.
  • Payment information — when you pay online, your payment is processed by Razorpay. We receive your payment status and a transaction reference, but not your full card, UPI, or bank details.
  • Query form details — the name, contact, and message you enter when sending us a question.
  • Browser / local storage data — your saved order details kept on your own device for convenience.

Why we collect it

We use the information above only for everyday business reasons:

  • Processing and preparing your order.
  • Accepting and confirming your payment securely.
  • Shipping, delivering, and tracking your order.
  • Communicating with you on WhatsApp about your order.
  • Providing customer support and answering your questions.
  • Improving your experience on our website.

Ordering through WhatsApp

You can place an order through WhatsApp. When you do, we open a ready-made message with your order details so you can send it to us. Once you are on WhatsApp, your chat is handled by WhatsApp.

WhatsApp is a third-party service with its own terms and privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them to understand how WhatsApp handles your messages and data.

Payments (Razorpay)

When you choose to pay online, your payment is processed securely by Razorpay, a trusted third-party payment gateway. You enter your card, UPI, net-banking, or wallet details directly on Razorpay’s secure system.

We never store your card or bank details
We do not see or store your full card, UPI, or bank details. Razorpay handles your payment on its own secure, industry-standard (PCI-DSS compliant) systems, and only shares your payment status and a transaction reference with us. Razorpay is a third-party service with its own privacy policy, which we recommend reviewing.

Shipping & delivery (Shiprocket)

To pack, ship, and track your order, we use Shiprocket and its partner courier companies. We share only the details needed for delivery — your name, phone number, delivery address, and order details — so your order reaches you and you can track it.

Shiprocket and the assigned couriers are third-party services with their own privacy policies, which govern how they handle the delivery information shared with them.

Optional location & maps

Sharing your location is completely optional. If you tap “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission and, only with your consent, we use your coordinates to help fill your delivery address.

To turn coordinates into a readable address, we use OpenStreetMap Nominatim, a third-party mapping service. You can always skip location sharing and simply type your address instead.

Data saved in your browser

To save you from re-typing, we may store your order details (such as name, phone, and address) in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your own device — it is not a tracking cookie and is not automatically sent to us until you choose to send an order.

You are in control. You can clear this anytime by clearing your browser’s site data or history for this website, or by using your browser’s “clear storage” option.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. We only share what is needed with trusted partners who help us complete your order:

  • Razorpay — to securely process your online payment.
  • Shiprocket and its courier partners — to pack, ship, deliver, and track your order.
  • Support & communication tools — to respond to your queries and coordinate your order.

We may also share information if required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us to correct or delete the personal details you have shared with us. Just contact us using the details below and we will help. You can also clear your locally saved details from your own browser at any time.
